What you will learn

Nonchalance, a casual indifference to what others are experiencing, is common at work and rarely deliberate. This micro module explains the evidence that empathy is motivated and can be developed, shows why asking is more accurate than imagining, and distinguishes empathy, compassion and empathic distress, finishing with five practical choices and a one-week practice log.

A tool you can use this week

The My Empathy Choices worksheet, which you download and complete for a real situation of your own.
